The Rössmund Golf Resort & Lodge is situated approximately 7km from the coastal town of Swakopmund on the northern banks of the Swakop riverbed. The resort comprises a 20 room lodge, an 18-hole golf course and a residential estate.

The location has the advantage of being beyond the coastal mist belt most days of the year, permitting enjoyment of an abundance of good weather during the day, and wonderful starry skies at night. Non-golfers may stroll freely around the course within touching distance of herds of free-roaming springbok or enjoy identifying a large variety of bird species and many other small mammal species.

Accommodation

Twenty chalets surround a stunning rock swimming pool. The large boulders you see as a foundation of the pool were found there as builders were digging. Rather than remove them, they incorporated them into the design. In the same spirit, the beautiful white stones of the walls were all gathered from the golf course property. Everything was built with the philosophy of integrating the construction into the surroundings.

Within these natural enclosures, first class accommodation awaits. All of the chalets are en-suite with a fireplace, satellite TV, mini bar and private patios. The reception area houses a beautiful bar, lounge and breakfast room. A comfortable braai area is active several nights a week, and the lodge even houses its own hair salon.

Rössmund Lodge is great for golfers, but it caters for anyone looking for comfortable, quiet, quality accommodation. Any activity can be arranged from reception, and you will find yourself just down the road from horse riding, camel riding and local foods on the plots along the Swakop riverbed. Ten minutes from the ocean, five minutes to the sand dunes and a short walk to the Swakop River Bed, this spectacular location is where civilization and tranquillity come together.
